## **Report of the trustees for the year ending 31st December 2023** 

The Trustees of The Ringside Charitable Trust present their annual report and accounts for the year ending 31st December 2023 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011. 

## **OUR AIMS** 

For many years concern has been expressed for the countless boxing personnel who find themselves suffering from depression,alcohol dependency,injuries and illness attributed to boxing. 

The Ringside Charitable Trust hope to change the way we care for our boxing family.The vision for  the home is to include medical help,facilities for ex boxers to be cared for ,both short and long term,a cinema room for the boxers to watch old films of their fights ,where they can sit together and reminisce. 

## **ACTIVITIES AND ACHEIVEMENTS** 

To date to raise funds we have held several event s,ie; sky dive by boxers,climbing of Mont Blanc,marathon runs, abseiling,firewalking and sales of merchandise,,sponsored events and donations. 

## **OUR FINANCES** 

The Ringside Charitable Trust started life in January 2019,as Ringside Rest and Care,an unregistered charity,becoming registered in September 2019. 

These accounts reflect the activities of the charity. 

## **DONATIONS** 

So far we have made 43 donations to boxers in need. 

## **FUTURE PLANS** 

To continue fundraising and by providing accounts to interested parties re funding.Due to the death of our secretary Karen Knight,we are now engaged in finding a replacement.
