For the benefit of the public to further the conservation and preservation of the hedgehog species primarily but not exclusively in the Southampton postcode area; 2. For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering and distress of hedgehogs in need of care and attention by providing a rescue, care and rehabilitation service for sick, injured, or orphaned hedgehogs with the aim of releasing such hedgehogs back into the wild wherever possible; 3. To advance the education of the public in the study of hedgehogs and in the care, methods of treatment, conservation and habitat of hedgehogs’.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	Despite a national lockdown, the charity continued to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured hedgehogs. We also continued to educate the public by participating in online forums, question and answer sessions and various social media interactions.

We have worked with other local rescues in order to cover a wider ranging area and to further engage the public to help save the humble hedgehog.
