TREASURERS REPORT 06.09.2023

Income and expenditure were both higher than previous year. Minimum wage increase has affected us, but we increased fees to compensate. Parents are mainly ok with this increase but we don’t have a choice if we wish to continue the level of service we provide to the community.

We managed to stay afloat despite many obstacles however we know the next year or two will be tight with energy, wage and other increases forced on us.

We continue to invest in new items for the children and have continued our training plans with staff. The cost of this has however increased

We are already full for the upcoming year and have increased our prices in order to make the business more financially secure.

Independent Examiner/Auditor Report 2023

As a committee and independent assessor, we can confirm that the accounts for Poppy Pre School CIO for the period 01-09-2022 to 31-08-2023 have been checked, examined and we have no concerns.

We are well aware of the increase to the general cost of living and can see that the charity have increased their prices to enable them to meet the costs of increased minimum wage increases, energy and food rising costs. These funds have ensured the smooth running of the setting at no detriment to the children attending.

We praise them for their hard work and commitment.
