Report of the Trustees for the year ended 31 March 2021

The Trustees present their report along with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2021. The Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out on page 6 and comply with the applicable law.

Structure, Governance and Management

Universal Bull Terrier Rescue (UBTR) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and is governed by its Constitution. It was established on 20 September 2019 and is registered charity no. 1185429.

Any new trustees would be interviewed and voted for by majority decision of the existing trustees, in accordance with the policy and set out in the Constitution.

Financial Review

The charity’s principal sources of fundraising are:

During the year, the charity received total income of £20,609 (2020 - £10,602) and expenses totalled £17,422 (2020 - £10,360). At the end of the period, the charity held funds totalling £3,429.

Reserves policy

The charity currently has no formal reserves policy and undertakes rescue projects only according to the funds available at the time.

Plans for the future

The charity has become more UK based, severing ties with HRH rescue in Spain, and has also developed new working relationships with more UK rescue charities.

REPORT OF THE ACCOUNTANTS TO THE TRUSTEES OF UNIVERSAL BULL TERRIER RESCUE FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2021

In accordance with the terms of the engagement letter dated 26 January 2022 we have compiled the financial information of Universal Bull Terrier Rescue which comprises the Receipts and payments, and statement of Assets and Liabilities and related notes from the accounting records and information and explanations you have given to us.

As a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at icaew.com/membershandbook.

This report is made to you, in accordance with the terms of our engagement. Our work has been undertaken so that we might compile the financial information that we have been engaged to compile, report to you that we have done so, and state those matters that we have agreed to state to you in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the addressee of this report, for our work, or for this report.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payment basis.

All income from donations and adoption fees is accounted for on the receipts basis.

Activities for generating funds

Fundraising

This represents gross income from events and from sales of merchandise in the year.

Costs of generating funds

Costs of generating voluntary income

The heading comprises direct costs of participating in events, all publicity costs and support costs.

2. TRUSTEES' REMUNERATION

During the year, none of the Trustees received any remuneration, reimbursed expenses or benefits by virtue of being a Trustee of the Charity.
