**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, BY WORKING WITH PARTNERS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:1. THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE PLAYING OF SPORTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF SWINDON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS.2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF AMATEUR SPORT BY PROMOTING OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SPORTS WHICH PROMOTE HEALTH BY INVOLVING PHYSICAL OR MENTAL SKILL OR EXERTION, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF SWINDON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS.3. TO ADVANCE THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE ATTENDING SCHOOLS OR IN FULL TIME EDUCATION, AND YOUNG PEOPLE NOT UNDERGOING FORMAL EDUCATION, BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF SPORTS FACILITIES AND BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.4. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF SPORTS FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY, MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.

**Activities:** The Forum is run by a committee to help sport and physical activity in Swindon.We are independent, with strong partners who help us make a difference. We regularly attract and distribute funding to local sport clubs and groups. We hold regular club development courses that help with accreditation and governance, and hold regular forums where members meet and give feedback.
