Work parties with volunteers were
arranged to weed and mulch around the
orchard trees. Brambles were removed
from the perimeter hedges and the new
hedge was weeded and mulched. The
wildflower area was scarified and sown
with typical southern England
wildflower meadow seeds. Quantities of
Yellow Rattle seeds were also sown to
supress the grass.
The hedges were trimmed to maintain a
tidy wildlife supporting perimeter and
wildlife corridor.
The community recreation area was
maintained through periodic topping
and mowing.
The disused telephone kiosk, now
refurbished to house the defibrillator,
was donated to the village and located
centrally in Plush.
