Work parties with volunteers were arranged to weed and mulch around the orchard trees. Brambles were removed from the perimeter hedges and the new hedge was weeded and mulched. The wildflower area was scarified and sown with typical southern England wildflower meadow seeds. Quantities of Yellow Rattle seeds were also sown to supress the grass. The hedges were trimmed to maintain a tidy wildlife supporting perimeter and wildlife corridor. The community recreation area was maintained through periodic topping and mowing. The disused telephone kiosk, now refurbished to house the defibrillator, was donated to the village and located centrally in Plush. |
