I. OBJECTIVES AND AcllviTIES
Wallington Animal Rescue Is a non•profit voluntary thafity dedicated to the rescuing of domestic
animals based In South London. The rescue contlnuously 5trTrves to reduce the population of
homeles5 or unwanted animals by provlding SUPF)Ort and advlce for onim31 welfare, resculng,
f05tering and rehoming animals and promoting spay/neutering awareness programmes within our
local communlty.
Fundralsin8 note
The Charity doe5 not solicit fvnds through appeals or generalized campaigns via phone, emall,
or dlrect mall. Additionally. the Charity does not subcontrart any fundrdlslng acbvitses to third partles
and does not engage in general calls for support. Instead, funds are raised through prl4pte donations
and events. Once again. thi5 year the Charity or83nized a fundrnising event to raise awareness and
8ather funds. Notably, the Charlty did not re￿1Ve any complalnts about fundraising actTvltles during
the year.
Achlevements and perfonTrance
2025 has proved to be just as thallengins for the ¢harlty a5 the prevlous year. The charlty whnessed a
similar number of calls for assistance, both wildlife and domestic. The charity received approximately
4806 calls for assistance from both residents of the borough it operates in and from across London
and the Southeast, thls 15 approximatefy the same as last year. In 2025, the charfty rescued 655
anlmals both wlldllfe and domestic, which Is approximatety 15% up on 2024, and rehomed 40
animals. 5118htly less than last year1501. Additionally. the charlty has once agaln seen more requests
for assistance from nel8hbouring borouBhs. further straining resources.
The charlty has faced ongolng fundralslng Ilmltatlons due to the continuln8 COSt-of-Ilvin8 crlsls and
especially the higher costs assoclated with Vet bills. Unfortunately, we also10st about 32 days
throughout the year due to our main rescuer/ ambulante driver being incapacitated due to illness
Iwhlch may also have an impart on 2026 figures). Fortunately. the volunteer infrastrutture of the
rescue and good working relationshlp with other local rescues allowed us to outsource some rescues
and rehomlng very successfully, albeit at a c05t to our own charity finances.
Despite these challenges. the charity contlnuès to see a re8ular income through dirett debits.
Facebook glvlng. Char5Ues Ald Foundatlon ICAFI. 8enewty. and other I¢Kal organizations and
businesses. The charity's Income from dlrect debits remalns stsble. Going into 2026. the charlty finds
itself in a good financial position with a strong cash reserve, enabling it to continue its normal
operattons.
The charity has continued to grow its public image wÉthin the local cornmunity and has now become
fimily established and recognizable. It has also continued to forge strong links and effettive vthing
practtces wlth other local rescue organlzatlons, both large and small. as well as other rescue
organizatfjons through0￿ the country.
The charlty organised a few fundralslng events to ra15e awèreness and gather fiinds. contributing to
its successful financial stsnding.
Plans for the future
The charty has set up what it considers to be an effective and sustsinable operatSn8 model and will
again continue to enhonce and improve this throughotrt 2026
The charity intends to continue to enhance its public presence in the local community a5 well as
throughout the Southeast and nationalty.

The charity always k)oks ft)r specific trainlng courses for its team ly)th online and on 3 prnctical basi5,
with the goal being to enhance the team's knowledge and training with regards to the best way to
provlde effertive animal V￿lfare and cafe.
Goln8 concern
The Trustees have a responsibilty to asse￿ Whett￿r there are any signfficant Un￿rtaInlieS regardlng
the Charitys ability to continue operating for at least 12 month5 from the date the accounts are
authorized for issue (until at least December 2025). The Tn￿ a￿ confident that the Charity's
operation5 remain wable.
Flnanclal revlew
The accounts have been prepared under the accnjavs basls.
During the perlod. the totsl income of the Charity £31.46712024: £50.7971 Totsl expendlture
was £46.38512024.. £39,065) Thi5 includes a Zooplus donation of £3234.08 as per charity accountin8
practice.
The Charlty's actlvltfes are mèlnly financed by donatlons raised through voluntary income. Durlng the
period £16.057 was raised through donatlons (Exduding Zooplusl and legacies. and a further £6.7851
was ralsed via fundralsiw adoption fees and other.
As a result, as at 31st December 2025, the Charws totsl funds were £50,263 all of which were
unrestricted.

(SORP 2015)" applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102). and the

Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historic cost unless otherwise stated. The
