The church has gathered for worship each Sunday and observed and celebrated all
the major Christian festivals.
The leadership team and the general Church Meeting have continl￿A to meet
regularly. A Bible study group has met weekly and a prayer breakfast monthly and
programme of social activities has been held throughout the year. The sensible use
of social media is one of our main ways of communicating with everyone.
Welcoming others into our building and seeking lo serve the local community
continue to remain important.
The information about all activities is shared via an Annual Report and the Annual
Budget of the church includes the provision for supporting our local, national and
international commrtrnents.
SECTION D
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Summa
of the main achievemonts of the char.
durin
During the past year we have continued on a path to normality and have enjoyed the
encouragement of many new faces becoming part of the fellowship.
As a town centre church we draw diverse attendees from quite a wide geographical
area. One aspect of this is that our fellowship still attracts many whose first language

is not English. We have to recognise that such people are not always with us for any
length of time but in Ihis role as a transitional church we still aim to make everyone
feel welcome whilst they are with us. Our regular church attendance averages more
than 50 and covers several age groups. SeNices. induding all the major Christian
festivals. are varied and seek to offer a balance between a traditional and modern
approach to worship, as well as aiming to integrate adults. children and young
people into all aspects.
We have creatsd occasional opportunities for Ihe fellowship to review our church life
and tried to act on new suggestions both in worship and meetings. Several social
events have also been included in the calendar. In the past year the Friday drop-in
for those in need has grown considerably. As a fellovtship we have also continued to
support other worthwhile causes. The building contlnues to be well used by various
outside groups with whom we have good relationships. We have also ensured that
our building is kept well maintained.
The Church trustees have continued to meet and plan monthly. Pastoral care and
general infomiation aboLrt the felltxvship has been shared via text, I￿atSApp, email
and newsletter which together with phone calls and personal visits has helped to
keep everyone connected. The websfte and notice boards are other ways in which
our presence is made known.
Financially we continue to be grateful that our members give sacrificially and our
reserves provide a realistic cushion for any unforeseen events.
The church is a happy and steady one and is positive about rts future.
SECTION E
FINANCIAL REVI
The Church holds its funds in four account areas (General Receipts and Payments
Account, Building and General Reserve Fund Receipts and Payments Account,
Legacies Receipts and Payments and Communion (Benevolent Fund) Receipts arrfl
Payments Account). Over the last year our room usage has ￿mained the same, but
our car park usage has decreased. Our expenditure is higher than last year due to
our continued maintenance and renewal policy (for both the Church and the Manse).
This year has seen the five year Electrical Inspection, on the Church, which required
work to be done to bring it up to the current Electrical Stsndards. Our fund raising
events are being run as social events.

SECTION F
LAND AND BUILDINGS
The church has the use of two buildings. The Church building on Chaucer Street,
which is used fof weekly communal worship and community activities. And also,
manse which provides a home ft)r the incumbent minister and famity. The deeds to
both buildings and land are held by The North Western Baptist Association and
would be managed by the association in the event of thurch closure.
SECTION G
DEC
