ACHIEVEMENT
AND PERF
RMA
umma
of the maln achlevoments of the charft durln
the
ear
During the past ye* there has been more of a feeling of normality and whilst we
have had to recognise that, following the pandemic. some people have lost their
desire to re-join us, we have nevertheless been encouraged by new faces.

As a town centre church, we draw diverse attendees from quite a wide geographical
area. One aspect of this is that our fellowship still attracts many whose first language
is not English. We have to recognise that such people are not always with us for any
length of time but in this role as a transitional church we still aim to make everyone
feel welcome whilst they are with us. Our regular church attendance averages more
than 50 and covers several age groups. sery￿es, including all the major Christ18n
festivals, are varied and seek to offer a balance between a traditional and modem
approach to w(Kship, as well as intwate children and young people into all aspects.
We have created occasional opportunrties for the fellowship lo review cyjr church life
and tried to act on new suggestions both in worship armd meetings. Several soci81
events have also been included in the calendar. In the past year the Friday drop-in
for those in need has grown considerably. As a fellowship we have also cMtinued to
support other worthwhile causes. The building continues to be w811 used by various
outside groups with whom we have good relationships. We have also made a few
improvements to ensure that our building is kept well maintained.
The Church trustees have continued to meet and plan monthly as well as 8ttend
appropriate courses. Pastoral c8re and general information about the fellowship has
been shar8d via text. IMiatsApp, email and n&wsletter which t￿ether with personal
visits helps to keep everyone connected. The website arKI notice boards are other
ways in which our presence is made known.
Financially w8 ara grateful that our members give sactrficialty and our r8serv85 have
almost returned to pre-pandemic levels. The church is in a steady state and is
positive aboLrt its future.
ECTION E
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Church holds its fund wilhin f¢yJr accnunl areas. Over the last year we have had
an increase in ow room usage this has inueased our incL)me. Our expenditure has
been high as we concentrated on rna1ntenan￿ and renewal arKI repl8￿Ment of
items (both at the Church and Manse) which had been neglected since the Covid 19
lockdown. We are slowty starting to return to fund raising events, but these have
tended to be on a break even basis so far.
SECTION F
LANDAND B
ILDIN
The church has the use of two buildings. The Church buildirvJ on Chaucer Street,
which is used for weekly communal worship and community activities. And also, a

manse which provides a home for the incurnbent minister and family. The deeds to
both buildings and land are held by The North Westem Baptist Association and
would be managed by the association in the event of church dosure.
