Report of the trustees for the year ending 30 April 2024

The trustees are pleased to present their annual report together with the consolidated financial statements of the CIO for the year ending 30 April 2024 which are also prepared to meet the requirements for a Trustee’s Report and Accounts for the Charity Commission.

Chair’s Report

After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic 2023 saw the return of Curiosity Sussex organizing events. Specifically, in November 2023 the Lewes STEM Festival fair returned. As in previous years the event was a great success and we welcomed more than 30 exhibits and over 1100 visitors over a 4 hour period. From the feedback the fair was met with near universal acclaim with the only negative comments complaining about the amount of time the fair was open.

I would like to thank our supporters, volunteers, trustees and the public for their support in making our work possible.

Prof. Stephen Wilkins Chair
