## **2. TRUSTEES REPORT** 

The CIO was established with the intent to stage a launch event in the form of a conference to bring together scholars to discuss and debate issues surrounding Orthodox education. However, the advent of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, followed by the political situation in Ukraine has meant these plans have been put on hold, until an international gathering can be arranged with confidence, with funding and with minimal financial risks. 

As a consequence, there has been no activity, financial or otherwise. It is hoped that circumstances will change and that the CIO will be able to perform a useful function in providing a forum for the re- grouping of Orthodox scholars at some point in the next year. As a result there is not a requirement for an independent examination. The funds held are unrestricted.
