## **Section C Objectives and activities**

To advance non-conformist Evangelical Christianity in England for the benefit of the public, in particular but not exclusively by the provision **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its** of or support for the provision of Christian education and training, **governing document** ministry, mission and distribution of literature to enlighten others about the Christian faith.

We are set up to further Evangelical Christianity throughout England through grant making and Christian education, especially for the training of evangelical Christian leaders. We give financial help to individuals to enable them to receive evangelical Christian education and training.

People do not have to be members of the organisation in order to benefit – our criteria are based largely on the individual’s potential for current and future Christian ministry and leadership.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

Our trustees have read and always have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. We examine our plans for the year, in terms of the number of individuals to support through grants, and how they qualify for such support in light of this guidance at our trustees’ meetings.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

We are again grateful for the help received from volunteers, particularly in the administrative process while running the charity and its banking facilities, and we hope to have continued help in the future.

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- contribution made by volunteers.

Section D                      Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main** We provided grants, totalling £2,167 in support of individuals who are **achievements of the charity** undergoing training in evangelical Christian leadership, in the year up to **during the year** 31/08/2024, and due to maintaining the regular private giving from a few donors managed to end up with a good positive balance in the bank at the end of the year. This year the number of individuals supported was reduced to one which helped maintain a consistent positive bank balance.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

In this fifth year we have managed to retain a reserve from the higher **Brief statement of the** positive balance at the end of last year. We do see the benefit of keeping **charity’s policy on reserves** a reserve to guard against the loss of a regular donation or a ‘trough’ in the level of expected donations. But the number of supported individuals can vary from year to year

**Details of any funds materially in deficit**

none

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

Most of our donations are from individuals who have a desire to see new evangelical Christian leaders supported while they receive some training.

We encourage those who have benefitted from similar training in the past to consider making regular donations to support others, but have not performed other formal fundraising activities.

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

## **Section F Other optional information**
