|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**BCC continues to be established as the main**<br>**support for disadvantaged residents across**<br>**Bury North, and continues to liaise with other**<br>**foodbanks across Bury.**<br>**Referrals mainly come from professionals**<br>**such as social workers, health workers,**<br>**schools, early help etc.**<br>**We also have strong links with local**<br>**refugee/asylum seeker groups, and a rough**<br>**sleepers support group.**<br>**The drop-in cafes are very well used as a**<br>**meeting place for local isolated residents, and**<br>**are now running three times a week. One of**<br>**the groups that runs these cafes has also**<br>**helped organised a Family Day, and a local**<br>**litter pick/clean-up.**<br>**The Charity promotes the Family Bank**<br>**through the local schools and this has**<br>**become a growing project in itself. The main**<br>**needs are for basic baby equipment, and**<br>**school uniforms for local primary schools.**<br>**Advice clinics are still a little spasmodic,**<br>**however, one of the volunteers has set up**<br>**computers with access so that residents can**<br>**use them for advice.**<br>**A yoga class is still running weekly, and is**<br>**very well attended. A karate club is now**<br>**running three times a week, and is very well**<br>**attended.**<br>**Space is let out to NHS run groups, and the**<br>**Centre is now a Polling Station for elections.**|
