Trustees Report 2024 As the Chairperson and Secretary roles remain va(2nt the following report has been compiled by the Trustees. Bembridge Heritage has continued to hold several Coff momings on various Saturdays through the last year. These have helped to boost our inct>me to cover the cost of rent, utiltties and other administrative outgoings. An inclusion of a 'Bric a Brac. stall run by Rex and Jeanie Gully has created a new interest at the coffee mornings as well as ra5sing more money for the organisation. We have continued to hokl Open Evenings either at the Village Hall or the Methodist Church wtth tslks by a variety of speakers that have proved very popular and well attended by members and non-members. OurAnnual Exhibition held in August was successful with raffle prizes donated by many of the local businesses in the village who are very supportive of us. Our Volunteers manned a stall at the Village Street Fair, where we sold books and had many interesting conversations with visitOTS and locals. We realise the site of our Heritage Centre is out of the way and we are looking for premises that would be more ntral in the village and therefore encourage a higher footfall. We are hopeful we can retum to the library in the old village school, which is where we were prior to being forced out because of the damp issues. It will require a community wide effort to raise finances ft)r this to happen. We would therefore ask for your help with this endeavour. so any fvnd raising ideas and volunteers would be very welcome.
