Street Pastors patrol Kettering lown centre every Saturday night, payday Friday and on other major party nights until 3am, providing help and support for everyone who needs it, regardless of their circumstances. The teams help lo ensure everyone enjoys a goc4J nvJht and gels home safety, and lo achieve this they work in ck)se partnership with door staff, CCTV and the police. A particular focus is on those are vulnerable or in need- whether they're on a nyht out and have had 'one too many, or have deeper corern$ which they need to talk abouL Trained voluntsers offer a caring, lislening ear and a helpful 'can do, approach- no matter whoever, eteVer and whenever- and wthout judgement. Teams al80 hand out flipflops. lolllpops. water and space blankets, and collect cans and glass bottles from the streets to prevent them causing injury18ter in thè nlght. The new recrurts have nearty finished their training and are now joining patrols, bringing fresh energy. a range of experiences, and a real commitment to caring. listening. and wactical help on the streets- their presence boosts our volunteer numbers and helps us maintain a steady. welcoming presence across town. A special mention goes to Tranex in Rothwell for generously prOv1ng radios free of charge, and to the teams at Central and Burton Latimer Methodist Churches for kindly letting us use their facilitt'es. Their ongoing support plays a vital role in enabling our work every week. School Patrol• Our school patrols, piloted last year, have continued and grown this year. We patrol outside a local secondary school at home time, offering a friendty, familiar presence and a listening ear to students making their way home. This inrtiatNe provKles reassurance and support lo young people who may feel anxious or have worries on Iheir minds. It also helps lo strengthen our relationship Vth the school and the wider community. while raising awareness of the trusted support Street Pastors can offer. Our Amazln9 Volunteern We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our 63 amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and energy week after week. Their commitment, compassion. and selllessness are the backbone of Kettering Street Pastors. enabling us to carry out patrols across the to5. From late-night shifts to daytime outreach and prayer support, each volunteer plays a crucial role in providing care, SUPFQrt, and 8 reassuring presence to the community. Their teamwork and dedication make a re81 dtfference, and we a incredibty grateful for their ongoing service and passion. We espeeialty remember Prayer Pastor Karen Macdonald. who we tragically lost this year. Karen's faithful SeN1 to Jesus and to the Kettering Slreet Pastor family was a shining example of what it truly means to Care. Listen, and Help.
