ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2022
Lytham St Annes Lions Club was chartered on 10 May 1962 and is a member of Lions Clubs International, a worldwide service organisation. The club was originally registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Trust Fund 1076954). In August 2019, the club applied for and was awarded Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status to replace the Charitable Trust Fund.
The officers during the year were:

The officers are elected or appointed on an annual basis from the members of the Club.
OBJECTS
The object of the Charity is to help, either financially or physically, those members or groups who, in the opinion of the trustees and members, are in need of assistance.
Financial support is also given to national and international charities in general, and Lions Clubs International charities in particular.
The Club operates on a completely voluntary basis, with no paid staff.
REVIEW OF THE YEAR
The legacy of the coronavirus pandemic continued to reduce the charities activities. However, it was encouraging that the club was able to carry out a few events including:

making donations to Ukraine and Tonga appeals

Sponsoring various initiatives including a woodland cabin for a local junior school

Running a children’s Christmas art competition

Holding a Santa themed Christmas street collection
BANKERS
National Westminster Bank in St Annes on Sea are the Club’s bankers and on-line banking is now in operation.
FUTURE
It is anticipated that the Club will continue to work to its’ Objects and to serve both the local and wider communities.
