Structure, Governance and Management
Hijaz Welfare Trust is a family-run charity governed by its constitution and managed by the trustees, all of whom are family members. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the governing document and serve voluntarily without remuneration.
Objectives and Activities
The objects of the charity are:

Relief of poverty and hardship.

Advancement of education.

Provision of humanitarian assistance in the UK and internationally.
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
During the financial year, the charity supported the following projects:

Pakistan – Food Relief: £200 to Alkhair Foundation for food packs to vulnerable families.

Pakistan – Emergency Relief: £2,000 to Alkhair Foundation for urgent humanitarian aid.

United Kingdom – Winter Clothing for Children: £474.33 spent on hats, gloves, and scarves for children from families struggling to make ends meet, distributed via Broad Heath School.

United Kingdom – Community Arts Support: £100 to Starr in the Community to share the art of circus with disabled, vulnerable, and disadvantaged people.
Financial Review
The charity had no income this year. Expenditure totalled £2,774.33, funded from reserves brought forward.

Reserves Policy
The trustees aim to maintain reserves sufficient to cover at least six months of planned charitable expenditure.
Plans for Future Periods
