Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Since the start of the charity, we have in
our plan to hold a 4 day festival every
July/August. Last year a very successful
event was held on the Weston super Mare
sea Front Beach Lawns where we had
10,163 visitors spread over the 4 days. We
were able to host different displays to
include, milking some cows, a calf parade,
calf feeding demonstration and clipping.
Each demonstration was busy with visitors
watching the stage area where the
livestock were and some of the events
were so popular that we are looking to
increase the number of demonstrations that
we have in the future.
However, this year, in 2024 a festival was
not held.

Financial Review

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 Last year was the second event since our
charity status, following the pandemic and
we are pleased to say that it was a big
success with over 10,000 visitors (local and
holiday makers) coming to our festival to
learn all there is to learn about agriculture
and farming with live demonstrations on a
stage in front of crowds of people at each
designated time slot. This year, no event
was held, and therefore the income and
expenditure has been minimal over the last
12 months.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 We will look to re-invest the reserves made
from this event back into our next event as
we look to hold this event every July in the
same place, to which we have already
submitted our application to North
Somerset Council
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 £19,702
Reasons for holding zero
reserves
