Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document

 To advance the Christian religion in accordance with BCBC’s beliefs as set out in the Statement of Faith  To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to teach the doctrines of the Christian faith as set forth in the Holy Scriptures, giving attention, though not exclusively, to the Mandarin speaking Chinese in and around Bristol.  To be a spiritual home for Chinese Christians to worship and serve the Triune God, and to have fellowship in the context of their special needs.  To promote the Worldwide Mission of Jesus Christ in evangelism.

 Provide Sunday service for all church members and broader Chinese community  Run Bible study groups / fellowships: 4 family groups, 1 student group, 1 English group  Provide Sunday school for children of church families  Evangelical work among university students from China.  Support Christian mission organisations financially

Achievements and Performance

	Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	As an independent church, BCBC is funded solely by church members’ offerings (tithe). Our objective is to further the Christian belief among the Chinese community by running regular Sunday worship, evangelical work among Chinese community and guiding members’ spiritual growth based on God’s Word through group Bible study. The most part of 2020 has been impacted by the corona virus pandemic. We had to provide our Sunday service on Zoom but we never missed one service. There were also quite a few students and family members who joined the church through our evangelical ministry. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Phil Morgan to join the church as a ministry worker in charge of English group and children’s ministry.
