Section C Objectives and activities

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

Freedomx not only helps to get emergency supplies like food and clothing to those that are homeless, but we also help them to secure a better future. We do this through education and mentoring. Once in suitable accommodation, support is given so that they can manage their tenancy responsibly. Mentoring is then offered to individuals in order for them to gain meaningful employment and to gain new life skills.

Due the rise in cases and the continued restrictions that the UK Government have in place, the charity is continuing to gain a better understand of individual areas of the England and Wales. As the pandemic has started to change the economy, so it has changed the needs of individual areas. By understanding the different financial and health needs, the charity feels that it will be in a better position to further our objects. The trustees have continued to build relationships with local councillors and MPs within individual areas and plan to work closely with them in future projects.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Once restrictions have eased on face to face contact, we will work on setting up local drop-in centres that are accessible to the homeless. These centres will provide food, clothing, showers and housing advice. The trustees are also focused on locating suitable accommodation that will provide a warm and safe environment where we can assess the needs of each individual.
