With the help of our volunteers, we can meet more responsibilities in our community outreach projects. This includes home visits to the elderly to keep them company as a lot of the time we find they are lonely and isolated. Being a bridge between those who do not know how to access the facilities offered by the local authority. **Kids Sunday Bible Workshop:** Every Sunday from 10-12 the kids attended bible school where every week we educated them on different aspect of Christianity. This included activities such as storytelling, song, role play, dancing and games. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and we found ourselves having so many questions from the children than time allocated for the Saturday workshop. **Food bank:** Our partnership with Local churches enabled us to create a food bank and continue to provide to the less privileged who were not able to afford basics such as food. Every Wednesday and Friday we opened the Charity to the public so they could have access to the food available **Supporting minority community** : We have been assisting the community in West Norwood to find accommodation, school and directing them into the right agency to find employment. Our Trustees and Management team continues to be strong and supportive and this has enable us to achieve many of the plans we set out for the year. 4 Charity registered number: 1029155 ## **COMMUNITY CONCERN ARK** ## **Review Of transactions and financial position** During the year, donation received totaled **£9,551** the donations and gifts received have been made available without restriction as to its usage. The balances on the charity's fund are unrestricted. These will be used to fund the charity's objectives during the new financial year. The trustees confirm that the charity's assets are available and adequate to enable it to fulfil its obligations ## **Reserve Policy** Freely available reserves are a pool of unapplied resources available to meet future demands on the charity's resources. This is "general purpose money that can be spent on any of the purposes of the charity. Free reserves of the charity are represented by its unrestricted funds less the net book value of its assets, as at 1st October 2024 Reserves are required to ensure the charity can meet its general business commitments. 5 Charity registered number: 1029155 ## **COMMUNITY CONCERN ARK** ## **Trustees Report for the year 1st October 2024 (continuation)** ## **Statement of trustees' responsibilities for the preparation of financial statements** Charity law requires the trustees to prepare their financial statements which show a true and fair view of the state of the charity affairs as at the year end and of the resources received and expended by the charity for the year ended. To meet this requirement, the trustees must be satisfied that: - Suitable accounting policies are selected and then consistently applied; - Judgements and estimates that are made are reasonable and prudent; - Applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed; - Financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis unless it's inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue its activities The Trustees are responsible for ensuring that proper books are maintained, for safe guiding the assets of the charity, and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. The Board has reviewed the effectiveness of the system of internal control and there are no material weaknesses that would have resulted in losses, contingencies and uncertainties that require a separate disclosure in these accounts Precious P.
