Aim and purposes
All Saints Church Belgrave Parochial Church Council (PCC) has the responsibility of
co-operating with the incurnbent, the Rev Sunny George, in promoting the whole
mission of the Chur¢h, in¢luding pastoral, evangelistic, social, ecumenical and
community functions.
Objectives and Activltle8
The PCC is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our
church and h&lp put faith into practice through prayer 8nd scriptur8, music and
sacrament, as well as help the church discharge its social and moral obligation t¢ th8
community both inside and outside ofthè church.
When planning our activities for the year, the incumbent and Ihe PCC have
considered the Commissi¢n's guidance on public benefit, and particulady the speafic
guidance on charities for the advancement of faith and ¢ommunal health and
hamony. We try to enable ordinary people to live out Iheir faith through..
Worship and prayer,. learning about the Go$pel-, and developing their knowledg6
and trust in Jesus.
Provision of pastoral care for people in the local and wider community
Missionary and outreath work.
To facilitate Ihis work, it is important that we maintain the fabric ol tha Churth.
A¢hlevements and Perfamance
Worship and Prayer
The PCC are keen to offer a range of services during the week and over the course
of the year that our community finds both benefirAal and spiritually fulfilling.
This year we have been successful in welcoming many more families into our church,
induding people from other faith backgrounds. Both the worship and services have
been made e8sy, accesslble and interesting by using large screen televisions,
projectors and printed booklets. A lot of time, energy, thought and financial resources
have been invested lo achieve this purpos8.
We provide a wami and welcome space for one and all, irrespgctive of their faith
background
wh&th6r they want to corne for coffee table conversations, wellbeing
sessions, food pantry or free coaching classes. All are welcomè to attènd our regul8r
services on Thursdays and Sundays. Al present there are 201 members on the
chU￿h Elecioral Roll. The averaae weekly altsndance is 90, bul thi$ number
increases at fèstivals, such as Easter, Christmas, Pentecost, and occasions, such as
baptisms, confimations, funerals and cèlebrations of birthdays and thanksgivings.

As well as our regular services, we enable our community to L*lebrate and thank
God at the milestones of the joumey through lifè, wh6ther it 1$ bapiism, marr¢age, or
fun&ral servic8.
Deanery Synod
members of the PCC sit on the deanery synod. This provldes the PCC with an
important link be￿een the church and the wder structures of the diocese.
U80 of Churnh
We want our church to be open and available to our cornmunity 24x7 for prayers,
pastoral care and the provision of other facilities, such as youth groups, community
meeting place. free coaching classes and charity 8V8nls. Unfortunately, due to
break-in episodes, we 8re unable to always leave the church open for private
worship. We have ¢off¢e mornings every Wednesday, as well as Food Pantry every
Wednesday and Saturday. Free language, Malh, Science and Music elssses are
held every Friday. Our church is a wami and welcoming ￿Mmunity where everyone
is invited lo share in Ihe joy of friendship, fellt)W5hip and food. Here, you'll find
place to belon9, a place where hearts are open, tables are shared 8nd faith grows
slron9er through genuine conn8ction and care.
Pastoral Carn
We look after the material, emotional and spiritual needs of our community. We seThe a
community, which is suffenng multiple deprivations in lems of income, employmenl,
education. health, living environmenl, barriers to housing and services 8nd other param8t8rs.
For matter of statistics, L6ice5t8r is the 25 most deprived of 324 L¢xal Authority Areas
based on the index of deprivation 2010. Deprivation is widespread especialty in 8elgrave. the
area that we serve, it is within the 5Vo most deprived in England. We run 8 Food Pantry
where w8 provide free food lo more than 120 peopl& èvery week. Some people ore happy to
give voluntary donations for food but that is an ex¢eption rather than a nomi.
The strapline of our Food Panlry is: "Food and Hope for All.
Some members of our church are unable lo attend church due to sickness or age.
Rev Sunny G￿rge regularty visits all church members who hove requested it, to
celebrate communion with them either at their homes or in h05Pltal.
Mission and Evangellsm
The strapline of our church is "IAultilingual worshlp In a multlcultural Communlty."
Halping ihose in need is 8 dernonslration of our faith. We believe in demonstrating
our love and faith in aclion in the light of Matthew 25.3546
"I was hungry, and you gave me somathing to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me
something to drink, I was Stranger and you invitad me In, I needed clothes and you
clothed me, I wes sick and you looked after n￿, I was in prison and you came to visit

The church's rnission and Evangelism iniliative, dedicated to bringing hope, happiness and
healing to Ihe wider community, deserves heartfelt congratulations. Throu9h this initiative, Ihe
church has successfully ￿aChed out lo individuals, meeling them with care and compassion
in their own space and time. We would like to exlend our Sincere appreciation to D & A Sheet
Metal Lld and their esteemed Director, Mr Ashvin Pat61, whose generous support and
ommitments have been instrumental in helping us carry this mission forward.
We celebrate occasions like Christmas with display of lights arid fireworks, bringing
hope and hamiony to the community which does not have many occasions lo rejoice
and celebrate. There are some kindhearted people who try to enable us in the
furtherance of our mission, but their number is very small. We try to live and love in
the likoness of Christ, the wounded healer. Our limitgd abilities and capabilities don't
dampen our spirit or deter our detennination to be b•acon$ in an otherwise gloomy
scenario. In Sanskrit, there is a Shloka (a verse) "Tam so Ma Jyotirgamya" that is,
lead me from darkness to light. Through our mission and ministry. we try lo help
peoplo encounter light and agape love (the love with no strings atl8¢h8d,
unconditional love that does nol Put any preconditions and come5 Without any
assumptions or presumptions).

their valuable contribution to our ministry and for ensuring that the church
continues to be a hub of hope and health, healing and wholeness
