**17-24-30 National Hate Crime Awareness Week CIO Year ended 31[st] March 2025**

We delivered the 13th National Hate Crime Awareness Week between the 12[th] to 19[th] October 2024 in liaison with the London LGBT+ Advisory Group to raise awareness of Homophobic and Transphobic hate crime. This included:

• Updating the NationalHCAW website. • NationalHCAW Google Map 2024. • 17 newsletters • H.O.P.E. Social Media Campaign and physical resources.

The annual Act of Hope and Remembrance was held at Regents Hall, the Salvation Army Centre on Oxford Street. The national candle was lit by John Pape in memory of the LGBT+ victims mentioned in the London LGBT+ Advisory Group’s “Thematic Review of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Related Murders” (published 2007).

The London LGBT+ Advisory Group was founded in early 2000 after the nail bombing of the Admiral Duncan (30[th] April 1999) and marked its 25[th] anniversary with a conference held at New Scotland Yard. This year we produced 34 “No Place for Hate” pop-up banners, one for each of the London Borough Councils, City of London and one for the Mayor of London. The UK Hate Crime Network group on LinkedIn has 605 members.
