We were unable to hold an in-person Act of Hope and Remembrance for those affected by Hate Crime held at St Cathedral, so we organised the lighting of the National Candle to be filmed and shared online. It was lit in memory of 18 disabled people mentioned in the Hidden in Plain Sight report (the first report about disability hate crime in the UK). Focus on Disability hate crime. The UK Hate Crime Network group on LinkedIn has 340 members. Through Facebook fundraising and PayPal Giving we have raised £3,250.88 (unrestricted funds which will go towards the development of our volunteer work and projects).
