The Arete Foundation launched during this period three grant programmes, one off grants for community organisations in the north-west, long-term funding for local community organisations in the north-west and funding for national organisations working in alignment with our purposes and objects in the north-west. The trustees are also committed to donating to good causes aligned to the foundation’s vision and purpose across the north-west. The foundation also confirmed collaboration with the Prince’s Trust (as part of the foundation taking up patronage of the charity) which resulted in a series of fundraising events for both the Arete Foundation and the Prince’s Trust. |

Para 1.20 | Through the long term local funding stream the foundation awarded grants to the Harthill and Central Youth centres in Liverpool, to support young people affected by domestic abuse and sexual assault and exploitation. Community grants were awarded to the Unbeatable Eva Foundation (an organisation which provides gift boxes to children with a terminal cancer) and the Cells Project (a charity which works to prevent and address youth criminal activity and drug abuse). Further donations were made to the Footprints foundation, Man United Football Club and the Liverpool Council- all supporting youth projects across the UK. |
