|Summary<br>ofthe main<br>achievements<br>ofthe charity<br>during the year|||NHS Hospital Bereavement<br>Units<br>Since the 29'" July 2019when the charity was registered as an official<br>charity and largely due to the generous<br>donations<br>we have received from|
||||local businesses<br>and members<br>ofthe public, we have been able to|
||||donate and support<br>more hospital<br>bereavement<br>units than planned.|
||||After initially<br>working<br>with 2 hospitals,<br>we are now supporting<br>10hospitals|
||||in England<br>and have plans to increase this further<br>during 2021.|
||||We know from the feedback we get from the specialist bereavement|
||||Midwives<br>who work on the units and the heartfelt messages<br>we get from|
||||families, that the donations<br>and support we are providing<br>to families<br>is|
||||valuable<br>and helping to make a difference.|
||||We donated:<br>Cuddle Blankets, Care Packages,<br>HITH Keyrings 8 Cuddle|
||||Cots.|
||||Fundraising<br>Events|
||||In 2019we held various fundraising<br>events (Dinner &Dance, Golf day|
||||etc) which were a success and helped<br>us generate<br>funds for the charity|
||||and spread awareness<br>about the work we do and baby loss in general.|
||||Unfortunately,<br>due to COVID-19, we were unable to hold our main|
||||fundraising<br>events<br>in 2020 which has had an impact on our ability to raise|
||||funds.|
||||Personal Support|
||||Pre COVID-19 we held our monthly<br>support<br>groups and provided<br>support|
||||via our website and social media plafforms. The support we provide<br>is|
||||more emotional<br>support<br>and provides<br>people with an opportunity<br>to speak|
||||to someone who has first-hand<br>experience<br>of baby loss.|
||||Wave of Light Service|
||||In 2019we held our very first 'Wave of Light Service' at our local Parish|
||||Church and was very well attended.|
||||The Wave of Light is an opportunity<br>tojoin with other bereaved<br>parents,|
||||families, friends,<br>and people around the globe to light a candle and come|
||||to remember<br>all babies and children<br>who have sadly died.|
||||Unfortunately,<br>due to COVID-19, we were unable to hold this service at|
||||Church,<br>but did host a virtual event on our social media plafforms.|
