SUPPORTING, PROMOTING AND ORGANISING THE CITY OF SANCTUARY NETWORK,INCLUDING IDENTIFYING THE NEEDS OF THE NETWORK AND ESTABLISHING PROJECTS ORRESOURCES TO ADDRESS THEM;B. RAISING AWARENESS OF THE WORK OF CITY OF SANCTUARY NETWORK TO THE PUBLICAND MEDIA;C. ENCOURAGING CITIES, TOWNS, VILLAGES, REGIONS, AREAS, PLACES, ORGANISATIONSAND INSTITUTIONS TO BECOME WELCOME AND SAFE, THROUGH THE PROVISION OFINFORMATION, ADVICE AND SUPPORT;D. ADVANCING THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF PEOPLE WHO ARE REFUGEES ORASYLUM SEEKERS;E. LIAISING WITH OTHER PRIVATE, VOLUNTARY AND STATUTORY ORGANISATIONS ONRELEVANT ISSUES2. THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: PROMOTINGACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDSINCLUDING PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GENERAL PUBLIC,REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS.

**Activities:** The charity holds the vision that our nations will be welcoming places of safety for all and proud to offer sanctuary to people fleeing violence and persecution. The charity supports a network of groups, which includes places and regions across the UK. It also supports Streams of Sanctuary which encourage communities of practices or interests to come together to embed the concept of welcome.
