Thelnetham Glebelands Trust
Report and Accounts for the year to 31st December 2024
Thelnetham Glebelands Trust
Trustees Report
For the year ended 31[st] December 2024
.
Objectves & Actvites
The objective of the Trust is: for the public benefit, to preserve and maintain as a space open to the public and as a fitting setting for St. Nicholas Church Thelnetham the lands contiguous to the said Church known as the Thelnetham Glebelands.
The activities of the Trust are geared to providing Public Access to a naturally and safely maintained space throughout the Year.
Achievements & Performance.
The Glebe has been maintained in a steady state and the Public have been able to enjoy access throughout the year, without restriction.
Financial Review.
Receipts and payments accounts are provided on the adjoining pages. In its fourth full year of operation the Trust recorded a surplus of £1,303 (£999). Similar revenues(£1,767) are anticipated for the year ending 31[st] December 2025. Accumulated revenues are available to carry out improvements, maintenance and conservation works. Six new Lime trees were planted at no expense to the Trust. Cash reserves at period end amounted to £9,019.. Given the increased frequency of severe weather events and the age of some of the trees on the land, it is prudent for the Trustees to maintain a buffer of this order for contingencies. In the short term, further works are expected to both the drive way and the trees, including future planting.
Structure, Governance and Management.
The Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organization registered with and regulated by the Charity Commission. Its governance procedures follow the applicable Charity Commission model document with minor modifications. Trustees are recruited from those with links to local or church communities.
