The Marching Band Association UK is a voluntary run organisation who teaches both adults and children of all ages the skill of playing a musical instrument and competing in competitions throughout the UK.

To advance the musical education of the public and in particular those who are members of marching bands by: a) helping to train in marching and the playing of marching band instruments; and b) holding concerts and exhibitions to promote high standards of musical ability.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Another great season for marching bands within the MBA. It saw various title events having successful competitions held in the north east, midlands and our annual main event this year in Wales. The Grand Finale ‘sell out’ weekend at Skegness was a brilliant cherry on the cake to a great season with everyone enjoying a week or weekend with friends within the organisation.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity
(“the Trust”) for the year ended31 / 12 / 2025.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the Responsibilities and basis of accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the report Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
