Trustees are appointed bi-annually at the AGM by voting members.  The chairman is voted every 3 years by voting members.

The Marching Band Association UK is a voluntary run organisation who teaches both adults and children of all ages the skill of playing a musical instrument and **Summary of the objects of the** competing in competitions throughout the UK. **charity set out in its governing document** 

To advance the musical education of the public and in particular those **Summary of the main activities** who are members of marching bands by: a) helping to train in marching **undertaken for the public benefit** and the playing of marching band instruments; and b) holding concerts **in relation to these objects** and exhibitions to promote high standards of musical ability. **(include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

## **Section D                      Achievements and performance** 

2023 saw the organisation as a whole hosting many events but namely titled **Summary of the main** events The Extravaganza hosted by the North East, the Main Event **achievements of the charity during** Championships hosted by the Midlands and the Grand Finale hosted as part of **the year** a holiday event at Skegness on the East Coast. 

All these events brough much success to a variety of our bands and we know year on year we plan to bring greater success in numbers of bands and events held.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the **Responsibilities and basis of** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the **report** Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
