Amlwch has supported 26 children aged 2
or 3 to learn through play and be
surrounded by the Welsh language whilst
doing so.
Through applications to funding
opportunities the Cylch has been able to
provide new resources for the children to
support their development, moving to a
more natural setting- offering opportunities
to play and learn, rather than very set and
structured activities. We have also
developed our outside area with help from
Menter Mon to have an all weather canopy
to support us to be able to offer outdoor
play in all seasons.
Children have developed their Welsh
language skills, grown in confidence and
also gained skills. The focus this financial
year has been to promote social skills,
alongside learning. We have also
welcomed a new approach in terms of how
we support the children to develop, which
has required new resources in line with
Welsh government guidance.
We are pleased to have been accepted in
February 2023 to be part of the Flying Start
scheme and anticipate that we will receive
more referrals and income from this

financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|At year end the Cylch was in a much
healthier position this financial year thanks
to a number of funding grants received.
Unfortunately there were no fundraising
events to provide any income and the
trustees have pressed to the committee
and the parents that without this our next
financial year will be very bleak.
The majority of parents continued to opt to
pay via BACS, though we had some paying
large amounts at a time which required
careful management by the Cylch leader.
Payments are divided on the spreadsheet
for reference, we anticipate as years go on
