MARINDIN HALL, FRENSHAM Annual Report For the Year Ending 31 August 2025 Principal Address The Marindin Hall, Millbridge, Frensham, Surrey GU1O 3DG Constitution The Charity was incorporated as a Foundation model Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with number 1184454 on 17 July 2019 as a consequence of its conversion from a predecessor Trust of the same name (registered with number 203736). The activities and assets of the Charity were transferred effective 1 March 2020. The conversion has now been completed and the predecessor Trust has been dissolved. These accounts are prepared on a cash basis. Following the conversion to a CIO, the title to the Hall premises was transferred to the Charity from the Official Custodian on 27 July 2021 at no cost. This did not affect the Charity's beneficial interest in the Hall. While the Trustees do not value the land, hall building, fixtures nor equipment for accounting purposes, the Charity's assets are insured for appropriate sums. Activity for the Year The Hall premises have been used in accordance with the Charity's constitutional objects throughout the year. The Trustees continue to encourage recurring and one-off hall hires. During the year they embarkeed on a refurbishment programme to better serve hirer needs, which included new floors, a new kitchen and some much needed redecoration. Excluding those refurbishment costs, the Hall made a surplus of c£8,000 due to an increase in hiring income of c20% but with operating costs held at their 2023/24 levels. Including those one-off refurbishment costs the deficit for the year was c£7,400. Independent Examination The Trustees have determined that these accounts are not eligible for independent examination on the bases that they are not required to do so by its Constitution; the gross income for the year is less than £25,000, and they are not subject to any other external scrutiny requirements.
