REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR YEAR ENDED S APRIL 2023
The Trustees present their annual report and accounts of the charity for the year ended 5th April 2023.

Green Hill Trust was regisleled with the Chartty Commission on 16 July 2019 as a Charitable
Incorporated Organisation ICIO}, registered numbef 1184437.11 was converted from an unincorporated
trust under the same name which was originally fom)ed by Declaration of Trust on 26 January 1981.

The principal objects"ve$ a￿ the relief of poverty. advancement of education. advancement of the
Christian religion and any other purpose beneficial to the community.
Under the requirements of the constitution every trustee musl be appointed for a lemi of three years by
a resolution passed by the existing trustees. All trustees are familiar with the practical work of the charity
and are encouraged lo be Involved with the on-going work of the charity.
Publlc beneflt
The Trustees have considered the Charity Commission's general guidance on publie benefit when
reviewing the Trusvs aims and objectives and in planning future activities and setting the grant making
policy for the period The Trustees have. in their view, mel the public benefit requirement by making
grants lo individuals and institutions who are ab￿ to further the chanty's objectives.

During the year the charty was able lo make a surplus. provide grants and repay some of the loans.
On 21¥1 February 2023 the Trust c(4npleled the wuisition of a plot of land (allolmentsl al Wey Lane,
Chesham.

Financlal review
There was income totalling £188.17412022.. £309,084) which enabled grants to be made and still result
in a surplu$ for the year of £94,59912022.' £231,285}.
Some of the loans were repaid in the year leaving a balan¢e of £485,00012022". £505,000) and a loan
was made in the year resulting in £103.030 {2022." £Nill being due lo the charity al the end of the year.

At the year end the charity had reserves of £557.727 {2022-. £463.1281. A large amount of the assets
held by the charity are in property with £936.68512022". £946.2861 held at the year end. Cash reserves
at Ihe year end are £1,62512022. £20,455) which is considered sufficient to meet oulgoings as they fall
due.
The reserves policy is lo increase reserves over lime to pay off the loans used lo acquire the properties
and to build reserves for future projects.
Golng Concern
Having considered the liquidity oflhe charity the Trustees have a reasonable expeclalion that the charity
has adequate resources to continue for the foreseeable future. The charity therefore wntinues to adopt
the going concern basis in pieparing the financial slalemenls.

The Trustees have examined the major risks that the charity faces and confirm that Systems have been
established so that the necessary steps can be taken to lessen Ihese risks.
Future Plans
The plan for the future is lo raise donations lo pay off more of the loans which were fequired lo purchase

1 Accounting Policies
lal Basis of preparation and assessment of going concern
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordan￿ wtth the Statement of Recommended
Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance wrf(h the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in Ihe United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and
the Charities Act 2011.
The financial slalements are prepared in sterling, which is the fun¢lional ¢urren¢y of the Charity.
Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded lo the nearest £.
The charity conslrtules a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
The finan¢ial statements have been prepared under the historical ¢osl Convention.
