of laciltties not provided by th8 SchLx)I for education at the School
arKI by any other means deemed appropriate to advance
education of the pupils at the School by the Trustegs in exercise

the charlty set out In Its
g0￿mIng do¢um•nt
The CIO holds regular meets'ngs throughout th8 school year to decide
and plan events for the stsff, pupils and parents of the school. In planning
our a¢tiMti8s, the trustees had regard to the guidance issued by the

Funds raised from these events are held in the CIO'S bank account. From
time to time the school makes applications for grants for sp8cific items of
expenditure for the advancemenl of the education of its pupils. The CIO
considers these applications during rts regular meetings. If Ihe grant is
approved, the CIO provides the funding r8qU8Sted. The fund5 raised and
grants approved are communicated wythin the school community.
From time to time trustees may decide to raise fvnds for the b8nefit of
another registered charity. In this case, a specific acttvity is identified and
communicated for this purpose and only the funds raised from that
adimty are paid to that other tharity.

Addltlonal detalls of obJe¢tlv•$ and actlvltlos Ioptlonal Informatlon)
We, as trustees, decide as a committe8 how to spend the funds V￿ raise.
This is done by considerir¥J and votirYJ on the grdnt applications
submitted by the sch￿1. We may undertake some long8r temi projects
depending on the needs identified to advance the education of pupils at
the sch￿1. For example, funding a fo(>J techr￿logY classroom fitryOLrt.
These may require fiJrKls to be raised over a longer péri￿1.

We a￿ grateful for the many hours parents have volunteered in helping
the CIO undertake rts lundraising activities. Without their v81uable

Section D
Achievements and performance
Fnends of Halstead St. Andrew's ScfK)ol (previously known as Friend8 of
St. Andrew's School, Woking) has operated for many years and
registered as a charitsble In￿rpOrated organisation with the Charily
Commission in July 2019.
Summary of tho maln
achlevements of the charlty
durlng the yoar
In the firnt temi of the 2023-2024 academlc year, the Charlty h81d its
inaugural Vrfelcome back. event, an opportunity for everyone lo get to
know one arM)ther wilh the opening of the new m8rg8d school. We also
held a Pumpkin Trail and Kids only Christmas sale for the children, whilst
the parents and staff enjoyed th8 Quiz Night and Christmas Soiree. Th8
tem also saw the inaugural Festive Fair & Laser Light Show. which the
whole school community thoroughly enjoyed.
In the Easter term vle held a Disco and Easter Trail for the children. The
y8arfs activities concluded with the return of the popular Summer Fair,
enjoyed by the entire school community. and the Summer Ball for the
parents arKI staff.
Further monies were raised mainly via Easyfundraising, and sales of
brarKled Christmas PLMJdings and Christmas artbK)rk.
With th8 exception of the Summer Ball, all income and expenses relatlng
to all of the abov&mentioned eventslsources wér8 received or incurred
during the year ended 31 August 2024 and are therefore included in the
FOHSA accounts for that period. For the Summer Ball, however, Ihe
invoices for the catering costs (of £5k) were not received until after 31
August 2024. As the FOHSA accounts are prepared on a receipts and
payments basis, these amounts will therefore be included in the FOHSA
accounts for year ended 31 August 2025. (This is the same as for the
accounts for year ended 31 August 2023, for which the catering ¢osls for
the summer ball (of £4k) arKI the bar commission (of £0.4kl were only
received after 31 August 2023, and were thus included in th8 yle 31 Aug
2024 accounts).

Section D
Achievements and performance
Since 1 September 2022, the funds raised from the second-hand uniform
"Swop Shop. have been in¢orp)rated into the FOHSA accounts. Swop
Shop generated just over £2.6k in the year ended 31 August 2024. The
funds raised from Swop Shop decreas&J over the year (from £6k in yle
31108123) as a result of the SchcK)I's decision to mov8 to a new unifom,
meaning that the demand for existing Swop Shop strck of the old uniform
dropped significantly.
Section E

expenditure, the amount, value for money and the number and ag8 Of
