## Thaqwa-The Story. 

By the blessing of Almighty Allah, Thaqwa Masjid and Madrasah has completed another successful year. We thank almighty Allah for this and all our well-wishers who have supported our projects. 

With the blessing of Allah (SWT) and through your kind prayers and contributions, Thaqwa Masjid & Madrasah were established on the blessed day of Friday 12th Rabi-ul Aww’al 1431 Hijrah/26th February 2010AD, under the supervision of late Hazrat Maulana Sheikh Abdul Aziz Saheb (RA). 

Thaqwa is a multi-purpose English speaking institution which is located at the heart of the diverse communities of Birmingham and serves people of every walk of life. In addition to our community services, there are 313 students (adults/children and male and female) who are being taught by a staff of 31 dedicated people. 

Trust Board of Thaqwa Masjid & Madrasah consists of Badrul Haque, Abdur Rahman, Mohammed Mobeen, Sister Rahima Islam and Muhammad Salek. 

We have a dedicated team of 13 volunteers. We are really grateful to all of them for their services. 

Brother Syed N H Shah of Protax Chartered Certified Accountants, 371 Bordesley Green Rd, Birmingham, B9 5RP, has prepared our account for 2019-2020. 

The official address of Thaqwa Masjid and Madrasah is 470 Green Lane, Small Heath, Birmingham, B9 5QJ. 

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, no major development/maintenance works were  carried out. Insha Allah, basement will be renovated in 2022.

We have performed certain procedures in respecl of the Charity's unaudited accounts for the year
ended 31 December 2022 Iwhich comprise the income and expene Account, the Balance Sheet
and the related nolesl, made enquiries ol the Charity's Iruslees and assessed accounting policies
adopted by the Iruslees, in order lo gather sufficient evidence for our conclusion in this report.
This report is made solely to the Charity's Iruslees. as a body. in accordance with the terms of our
engagement leller dated 1 June 2016. 11 has been released lo the Iruslees on the basis that this
report shall not be copied, referred lo or disclosed, in whole (save for the Iruslees, own internal
purposes or as may be required by law or by a eompelenl regulator) or in part. wilhoul our prior
wrillen consent. Our work has been undertaken so that we might slate lo the Iruslees those mallers
that we have agreed lo stale lo them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest exlenl
permilled by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility lo anyone olhef than the Charity and
the Charity s Iruslees as a body for our work. for this report or the conclusions we have formed.

We conducted our engagement in accordance with basic pri¢iple8 of aiidil & review of financial
information. Our work was based primarily upon enquiry. analytical procedures and assessing
accounting policies in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Enlilies. If we
considered il to be neceS￿ary, we also perfomed limited examination of evidence relevant lo
certain balances and disclosures in the accounts where we tecame aware of matters that might
indicate a risk of material misslalemenl in the accounts
The terms of our engagement exclude any requirement lo carry out a comprehensive assessment
of the risks of material misslalement. a ¢on3ideralion of fraud, laws. regulations and internal
controls. and we have not done so. We are not required to, and we do not, express an audit opinion
on these accounts.
Conclu$ion
Based on our work. nothing has come lo our attention to refute the trustees, confirmation that in
accordance with the Charities act 1993 the accounts give a true and fair view of the slate of the
Charity's affairs as al 31 December 2022 and of ils Surplus for the penod then ended and have
been properly prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Charities
