**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN AFRICAN ORNITHOLOGY;(2) TO PROMOTE, ORGANISE, CARRY ON AND ENCOURAGE STUDY, RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION IN ALL BRANCHES OF THE SCIENCE OF AFRICAN ORNITHOLOGY.

**Activities:** The African Bird Club gives grants to individuals and groups in African countries to support a wide range of small to medium-sized projects there that benefit the conservation of African birds or their habitats. Our website is the primary online source for all things to do with African birds. We also publish a twice-yearly, peer-reviewed bulletin, and we are developing a series of birding apps.
