The year 2023/24 has seen the charity consolidating its activities and continuing to consider questions of future strategy. It has continued to advance its goals by the provision of information and guidance on its website (including a map of Methodist Churches registered for same-sex marriage) and by making available grants to cover the cost of registering churches for same-sex marriages.

The trustees have considered the need for reserves. At present, the Brief statement of the charity does not have ongoing liabilities (eg staff costs) and is in a strong charity’s policy on reserves financial position. The trustees will keep the fund balances under review, mindful that the funds are there to be used in furtherance of the objects.
