Followin8 Thomas DuttOTh'5 death In 165 I, he sive a house In the Eas¢ end of Northleach as a site for six almshauses
and by vfty of funds and a loan from the executor5 of the estste of Mary Harritts Ajlen, a new almshouse building
was erected in MS11 End in 1818.
In 1831 as a result of an order by Chancery. a new body of Town Tru5tres wa5 iTrau8urated to administer the two
almshouses which were passed to thts charity In 1834.
A Scheme in 1932 empowered the rDanagement of the Durton5 Mmshouse to the Town Charities, who were
allowed to devoté surplus income to the in2inteThance of th3t amshouse and Lowards the one that they were
alrÈady administrating as trustees ol the Allen's chanty.
A furthèr Stheme of 1956 ¢onfirmed their powers over the almshouse chariue5 and allOw￿d Ehem to use funds
lor oihei. general purpose for the benefit of ¢he town of Northleach
In july 2019. the above charicy w25 founded as an Ctharitable Incorporated Organisation ICIOI, inLO which
the Almshouses were translcrred ai)d registered.
Objects and activitles and Publlc Benefit
The main aim of the charity is t¢ provide low cost houslng within the Parish of Northleach
lor the benefrt of members of the local town and dSstrftt community or their close relatives.
As appropriate, within the Charities govtrnlng Con5tiW￿on, to make grants to other charities and not-lor-profit
organisation5 tyr&ting lor the benefit of the local Community of Northleach
Athlevement$ and PerforMa￿e
Maintenance and repairs contlnue as appropri*, and where necessary upgrade5 are made in order to mainoln
regulatory requSrements.
