his programme is in partnership with Street Soccer Foundation.

Schools Out Summer Programme
This programme was tunded bv Gokltng Vtsion and Cllr Gary Cooke - via the

The 1kn3ramme ran at Heather House in parkW￿xI on 5th - 16th August 2019,
we deliver￿ a range of SFQrts, gar￿ and activtties and every thild got to
try. cricke¢ tennis, fcM)tball, as wdl as rourth ,fcx)tball tennis, Athleti￿ and
much mre. Each day ￿ a dIff￿t Art5 and Craft theme, rnrrfjing from
Maktng masks, (Teating rockets, making keyrings arKI de￿gnIng artwork
Ipainting superlwoe5i glitter ddls and usirvj (yeative mints.
We tYovhJeil lunch for each chikl that ITKJuded a range of tr*althy fctKI and
snacks.
We had 60 children r￿Jistered with 218 att￿arreS throughout the two
weeks. Having h￿hlIghted Parkwrmxl as an area of establish&1 the
followlNJ:
or all the thiklren re91*e￿I 86% of them lived in ME15 (
Parkwood), this gjpyyts our inibal researth of need in that
area. The parentslcarers feedbad( was that the need in other
areas was 8]ually as great and if we had targeted our

Walking Football
This project wns weekly and all year round. it is for rr
over 50yrs old, we ￿rrenty have 30 wular players and
they take part in a rarvJe of comFetsbons arKI g)ial events
every year. The average age of parbcipant is 6fvrs old !

skN)rts. We also sUpP)rt￿l the chiklren50 to ￿lte letters to the Maidstone Utd FC players.
At the End of the Prc#Jramme MUFC Pla￿S VISI￿ the d)ildren and prewted the sch(x)I
with some books for the sttttx￿ library.
National League Trust Cup
The scr hosted tvK t￿rnan￿lts for this annual competstson, one eath
for bjys arKJ girls from local primary schwls. We had a total of 176

We teamed up with Street Sc(cer Foundation to out at the
Maidstone Utd FC Stadium to raise awareness of homthness and
to promote a brgger in November 20 p&Jple Slept out in the

Remembrance November 2019
We invited I￿al thildren to come aThJ be part of our remembran￿ matth and
they made ￿ppleS for all players and a poppy wreath for each team to keep.
The children were mascots for the day arKI walked ¢xrt viith the player5 for the
minute silen￿.
Disability Teams

Report of Projects
1st October 2019- 30 September 2020
Street Soccer Academy
Our Partnershlp with SS continued with only one of the three planned
academies for the year- due to Covid-19 .We do have one scheduled for Oct
th
14 2020. subjert to funding being confirmed. 14 young people took part In
the programme in Oct 19 we delivered football and mindsevmentoring
sessions overthe 10 weeks. As a result of the course all the young people were
in temporary or permanent accommodation and went on to either
employment, Trainin8, or further
education- Players took part in the
graduation day at the Stadium
Fit 4 Life
Fit 4 Life started on IW October for 10 weeks. 12 young people took part and
for the first time we had 3 females take part. This project targets the hours
between leaving school and getting home as this has been evidenced as the
key offending time for young people, all those that attended showed a positive
turnaround at the end of the course- reports from the referral partners

demonstrated the change and success of this programme, we also added an
ASDAN qualification.
We intended to put have our 2 programme in March 2020 but due to
government restrictions this was put back until October 2020.
National League Trust Tournaments
Two days 2 and IO" Dec- 135 Boys and 1217 Girls took part over the two
days. The tournaments were well attended with 5 NEW schools
taking part. The numbers were slightly less this year due to
date clashes Wlth other school commitments. We had booked
dates for 12 and 15 October 2020, however we have had to
defer this probably until early 2021.

The winning schools were
Roseacre Primary for the Girls
and Loose Primary for the Boys,
both schools went on to
represent MUFC at the regional finals in Feb
2020 held at Bromleyfootball club they came 4 and 3 respectively. Each
school was also presented with MUFC playing kit at a school assembly
beforehand by our sponsor Kevin Holliday of CSIS.
Both Teams also got to do a lap of honour at a MLJFC home match and meet
the players.
Sleep Out
The sleep out took place on 24th January 2020 and was well
attended with approximately 65 people taking part. We
raised of £6,000 which we shared with the Street Soccer
Foundation. We also had a £51J) donation to provide
refreshments.
George Elokobi also visited the Event along with the Mayor
of Maidstone

Schools Out
The Feb half Tenn Programme was held at Heather House in
Parkwood. The children that attended were at risk of holiday
hunger. as parents/carers
rely on free school meals
and many on food banks.
We provided a range of
activities including sport,
arts and crafts. games as
well as a healthy lunch and snacks. 175 Children took part over the week and
we had visits from Cllr Gary Cooke. who helped launch the programme in
August 2019 and from George Elokobi.
We had plans to run again at Easter, but this was cancelled due to the soclal
Isolatlon rules.
We delivered our 2 programme over May Half Term and adapted
to adhere to the Social Isolation Rules and gave our food and
activity packs in the park located
outside Heather House in
Parkwood. We handed out over
250 lunches and packs over the
week and the families stayed in the park to
picnic and play with the equipment
provided. Staff were on hand to demonstratel We had Water and Snacks
donated by South Eastern Trains and Footballs donated by Street Soccer
Foundation. Golding Homes funded the lunches and staff.
Our 3, Programme started in July, when it would have been the school
Holidays. We delivered a normal
programme with extra safety measures in
place and was based at Greenfields Primary
School. We planned for 30 children per
day. but demand was so high and exceeded
all our expectations and on one day we 78
children. We quickly adjusted the staffing and programme so that did not turn
people away that really needed supporL We delivered to 1274 young people
throughout the summer.

This course was funded by CSIS,
Kent Community Foundation. Safer
Kent, The FA and SCT Masks sales.
We also submitted a bid to Children
in Need to support Schools Out for
every school holiday. but this was
put on hold due to the pandemic and we can revisit for 2021
Greenfields Mentoring Programme
This was a weekly programme of Football and mentoring support for
Greenfields primary school children to encourage more regular attendance in
school and interact with their peers. The young people we worked with were
disengaged In school and were regularly absent. We worked with 20 children
per week over a 10-week period.
Sport Rellef
On the 13 March Trust staff support the Kent Pollce and
Crime Commissioners Penalty Shoot Out Challenge we
teamed up with the staff from the Street Soccer Foundation
and our team won on the day- scoring penalties against
the Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott. Over
£2,000 was raised for Sport Relief on the day
The Last Mile
We helped launched an initiative in partnership wlth
MUFC. Wellbeing People and The Mason Foundation
to encourage fans to
walk the last mile to the stadium, this is to help
families get fitter and part of our Healthy Stadia
plans for the future. The First Mile was on
March and was attended by approximately 58 Fans

George Elokobi and Noah Chesmain helped usto launch the initiative and
walked with us on the day.
Player Visits
We have had player visits to Schools, Schools Out Holiday Camps, Meet and
Greet at Stadium, Tournaments, The Last Mile and had many more scheduled
from March which have been cancelled due to Social Isolation rules
Covld-19 Support Work
PPE for Key Workers - The Trustees agreed in April
that the trust should try and sUPPOrt the demand for
PPE.
We a8reed to look Into ways of makin8 and dlstrlbutln8
to those that needed ft the most. The response on
Social Media requestsfor helpwere ovenvhelmin8 and
we managed to harness the community spirit and really provide the
much-needed items.
Recipients included. Care homes. hospitals, emergency response units and hospi￿$.
The distrlbution is ongoing but at tlme of writing we have:

80 sewers and inventors making mask5. visors, and scrub bags
We have also been able to provide Child Friendly vi50rs for stsff
in chlldren wards with Disney and Cartoon Chararters

their windows
