Trustees Annual Report
For the year ending 1st July 2025
Structure, Governance and Management
Men in Sheds Beverley is a registered Charitsble Incorporated Organisation governed by its
Constitution (foundation model). The organisation was registered with the Charity
Commission on the 2nd July 2019.
Recruitment and a
ointment
The trustees form the Executive Committee of the charity. The members of the Executive
Committee are eletted at the Annual General Meeting by the members of the Charity. All
members are circulated with invitstions to nominate trust￿ in advance of the AGM.
The Constitution of the Charity states that there must be at least three charty trustees and
the maximum number of charity trustees is eleven.
All trustees are appointed for a l year temi by a resolution passed at a properly convened
meeting of the charity trustees.
Tr
stee In
Trainin
All trustees are provided with the Charity Commissions 'Roles and Responsibilities of
Trustees,, the Constitution and the financial statements including the Annual Report. Any
training required by the trustees may be requested at any p)int where it is considered useful
to their role as trustee.
anisational Structure:
The board of Trustees manages the Charity, and aims to consider onw strategic decisions at
its meetings. Trustees are aware that any conflict of interest is declared and recorded. The
board holds its board meeting if when a Trust￿ request one.
In conjunctton with the Trustees there is a committee ￿spOnSible for the day to day general
running of the shed. Currently this is made up of the Trustees, however there are plans to
expand in the future to include Committ￿ members from the general membership.
The major risks, to which the charity is exposed, as identified by the Trustees, have been
reviewed and systems have been established to mitrgate those risks. All systems and
procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure they meet charity law and our own
organisation5 aims and objecbves. The charity has guidan￿ and a specific trustee who is
responsible for the safeguarding of every member.

Objeclives and Activities
The charity's object is:
'To promote social inclusion for the public benefit, by preventing people aged 18 or older
within the Beverley and the surrounding area, becoming socially excluded. This is to be
achieved by assisting them to integrate into society through the provision of facilities in
which they can meet to undertake creativei physical or recreational activities, learn or pa55
on skills and knowl&ge and support each other sc(ially as well as helping with community-
based projects."
It is very imtJ)rtant to the trustees that the charity helps to provide support, understanding
and a safe environment to males who want to join due to suffering from depression and
other mental health problems. Safeguarding and suttabilty is very importsnt.
Main ob ectives for the followin
ear:
In shaping our objectives for the following year and planning our attivities, the Trustees
have considered the Charity COMMI￿10n,5 guidance on public benef￿ and this is regularly re-
visited.
I Continue to expand our membership and raise our profile in the community, with an
emphasis upon supporting members most susceptible to being socially excluded.
2 Increase our range of attivities to support a wider range of potential members.
Examples of such activities will be model making and photography.
Achievements and Performance
We have substantially rebuilt the organisation and management of the Shed following the
departure of the original Treasurer who appears to have been the sole activator for
management decisions. In the coming year we intend to develop better systems and
practices to make the Shed an attractive pla￿ to be and Whe￿ chatter and pottering are
encouraged.
Financial Review
Reserves Poli
The charity doesn't have a reserves policy at the moment.
Plans for Future Years

Independent Examiner's Report to the Members of Men In Sheds Beverley.
I report on the accounts of Men In Sheds Beverley for the year ending 1st July 2025, which
are set out on pages 8 to 11.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are ￿spOnSible for the prepardtion of the accounts. The charity's
trustees consider that an audit is not wuired for this year under section 144 of the Charities
Art 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is n￿ded.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under settion 145 of the Charities Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Direttions given by the Charity
CoMmi￿10n (under section 145(5}(b) of the Charities Att, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examlnerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordan￿ with general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations
from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedLJres undertaken do not provide
all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as
to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf wew and the rerM)rt is limited to those
matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connettion wth my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which
gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charits'es Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have come across no matters in connection with the examination tr) which attention should
be drawn in order to enable a proFer understsnding of the accounts to be reached.
