Objectives and Activities
The chaiivs object is:
To promote s￿131 Incluslon for the public benefil by preventing people aged 18 or older
within the Beverley and the surrounding a￿, becoming s(Kially excluded. This is to be
achleved by assisting them to integrdte into society through the provision of facilities In
whlch they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn or pass
on skills and thowledge and support eath other ￿lalIV as well as helplng with community-
ba*d projects..
It is very important to the trustees that the tharity helps to provlde supw)rt, understanding
and a safe environment to males who want to join due to suffering from depression and
other mental health problems. Safeguarding and suitabilty is very imtM)rtant.
ectives for the followln
ear:
In shaping our objectives for the following year atKI planning our atttvitles, the Trustees
have considered the Charity Commission's guidan￿ on wblic benefit and this is regularly rtr
visited.
I Continue to expand our memtrRrship and rdise our profile in the community, with an
emphasis upon supporting members most susceptible to I￿Ing scrially excluded.
2 Increase our rdnge of attivities to support a wider range of potential members.
Examples of such athities will be model making and photogrdphy.
Achievements and Performan
After the shed was dismantled and the concrete fl￿ring laid we considered how best to
reorgani* the Shed. The kitchen/9xial area would remain in the same space but the plan
was to make a funttional kitchen around a large *ated area. The ￿ntral working space
would have a large work bench with stordge and other hand-makj'ng areas around the
perimeter. The final area would be for machinery and workshop attivities wtth additional
storage for wood.
This was agreed and work began on putting everything in place. We were fortunate to find a
source of good quality plywood for fr￿ and this enabled us to line the entire of the exterior
walls of the Shed assisting insulation plus enabling storage opportunities and to separate it
from the glass and corrugated metal walls of the greenhouse building in which it 15 Situated.
This was a major step in our future development
We were able to hold a -reopening" ￿rernonY of the Shed in November 2023 inviting local
dignitaries arKI supporters to the event. There was a great feeling of relief and expectstion.

TNstees Annual Report
For the year ending 1st July 2024
Independent Examinerfs Report to the Members of Men In Sheds Beverley.
I report on the accounts of Men In Sheds Bevty for the year ending 1st July 2024, which
are set out on pages 8 to 11.
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and examiner
The charty's trustees are reswjnslbte for the preparation of accfjunts. The charivs
trustees consider that an audit is not requir&1 for this year under section 144 of the Chartties
Act 2011 (the Charities Act) arKI that an independent exBminatit)n is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under settion 145 of Charities A¢
to follow the pro￿ureS laid down in the general Directions gi%En by the Charity
Commission (under secbon 145(5)(b) of the Q)aribes A¢ and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out In accordarKe with generdl Directions given by the Charity
Commisslon. An examination Indudes a review of the accounting records kept by the charty
and a comparlson of the accounts presented with tho* record5. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disdosures in the accounts, and seeking explanatlon5
from the trustees con￿MIng any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
all the evIder￿e that would be required in an audit, and consequenljy no opinion is given as
to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is limited to those
matters set out in the ststement below.
Independent examinerfs statement
In connectlon wlth my examinalion, no material matters have come to my attention whlch
gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with seclion 130 of the Charities Att or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have come across no matters in connection with the examination to which attention should
be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be ￿aChed.
