Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Following the Charity Commission's guidance and in continuation of the work initiated in 2023, we conducted extensive research to identify a suitable partner charity that aligns with our objectives and Constitution. After a thorough due diligence process, we successfully identified an established charity whose work is in direct accordance with our charitable aims.
The Treasurer and General Secretary held several meetings with representatives of the identified charity and carried out multiple site visits to assess their operations, impact, and governance structure. These engagements provided a high level of assurance regarding the alignment of their activities with our mission and the robustness of their internal controls.
After careful consideration and with the full satisfaction of the Board, we formalised a partnership with the charity. As part of our agreed collaboration, we approved the release of the first instalment of funding. This contribution will be directed towards agreed activities that advance our charitable objectives, in accordance with the mutually developed funding plan.
We will continue to monitor the use of funds and evaluate outcomes to ensure accountability and impact.
