Objectives and Activities
The principal purp)se of the (tharity is the advar￿￿nent of the thrtstian faith accorditvj to the principles
of the Baptrst derK)mination to indude ts thncement of &lucation, ccThmunity se￿1￿ and such other
general charitable pur[￿e5 in parts of the Unl￿1 Kingd￿ and ￿ wotld as the (hurch shall

In orderto achieve the principal ob]￿tiVe whtth is set (Njt aLN)ve, the Churth provides a variety of activities

Central to wilness of the Church is the provisK)n of ￿ular wjblic seNice5 of ￿ns[lan

The thurch wrates systems to erfju￿ that all tw)le workirnJ with chikI￿n arxd vulnerable adults are

Achievements and Perfornian
A significant part of this year has tr*en our expkniThJ aFMJ rerEwirMJ our vI￿n as a thurth. This Fb3S LEen
a significant process of retlecb"rrfJ on how darify (￿r purp)se as a d￿rity but also fx)w all of our charitable
objectives Lan be given a fresh imtetus within the lrfe of the churth.
In November East year I encourdged the churth to reflett on aThJ pTry thr(XKJh the shape of my then
ojrrent ministry as well as the minisiries of ￿ other members of the team. Thts all came under the
heading of Shape of Futu￿ Ministy wthich was led by an exterxtsj leade￿hIP team to draw upon the
eXper[en￿ of those had serv&1 on the thdership team, as wdl as cu￿ent m&nbers. This ￿ to the
whole fellO￿hIP being eFmuraged to fill in a detsiled questionnaire aLK)ut the life of the church and its
charitsble Obj&*￿ whtch was collated and pr￿ed by Don Brennan and Ed Tomlinson. We a￿ very
grdtefvl for all the hard work tw gave to this pr(X￿SS and as we expkned this the tide for this process
changed from 'ShapE of Fubjre Ministy, to sha￿ of Futu￿ Ministries. as we encouraged the whole of
the church to exercise theTrr gtfts and give of their time to our charitable obiectsves fijlfilled.
Another signffi(znt change Wds in the shape of our Ministy Team. In August our Families, Youth and
ildren's Ministy Leader, Mr Andrew Evers, step￿1 down frcmn rx)sitK)n. We are very gTrteful to the
way in whith he seNed the thurch particularly in his PBssion and enthusiasm for growing and developing
our many yryjth activ[￿. In reswrse to this Zania Van khallwfv has ex￿anded hours to foKus
particularty on Childrens and Worship as wdl as taking on a broajer leadership role. In the summer Josh
Douglass was s￿ceSsful in his intervyew to tE our ￿ Youth Worker and he will tske up his role in
D￿Mber.
This year saw a signtfic3nt change in our Trustee Le3Jership Team. Dave 0￿rieS, who had trEen
Treasurer for mary years Step￿ down arml was replaced by Temby kJrEs. We are very gratefvl for all of
the hard work Dave (Jjaries has grven tri us. We will hawng Leade￿iP Ela*oThs in November and s
our Team expk3nded. We had a very eff￿tive Leadership Retreat which ￿ us to reflett on how we m￿t
as a team as well as lyDaden the Style of meets.ngs we have so that we may work more closely and
effe¢thly ensurirwj ttkit all of our charitable obitttt¥es are futfilled.

Finanaal Review
Unrestricted cash balaft￿ decreased by £16,126 during the year, largely as a result of planned extra

As detriled in the acojunts the Churth o)ntribut&l £13,731 for ther causes induding the der#)minational

The Church continues to raise funds which it needs to on its aclivi￿ frcwn wÉthin its own membership

The rnL￿t Stgnificart relate trj the oThwiThJ app)intments of the Revd A Gore as Minister of the

The finanaal results for the year, tLWIEr with a sumnkry of the accounting p)licie% adopted are set out

it would have to have made a one off payrn￿ estimated to be £15,900 to meet ts statutory obligations
to the stheme. The chuth has no pEan to leave the Sch￿ and exFÉrts to continue to make payments
to the stheme in line wth re(J)very plan thrlwgh to June 2026.
Reserves policy
The Tnjstees have established a Reserve Policy to enab￿ the church to funcbon effectivety and m￿t its
Ob1￿Jab0ns in the event of a signifirAnt d&Sine in our or a maior c05t.
The Church ex¥H￿d its part in the life of tr￿ wmjer church by makiFMJ do￿tiorS to national and
intemational Chrislian organisati(ffLS aThJ xKieties with (hrisban aims and otycbve5 c(xnpatible with the
church's own d￿ritable purp￿.
Having considered the relevant risks of charws in income and exFendtture, the Trustees have detemined
that the appropriate level of reserves is in ￿ Trnge £30,000 to £35,000. As at 31& OCto￿r 2023, the
thurch hdd total cash funds of £70,262 of which £1,245 were restricbj and £6,214 designat￿. It follows
that osh re9)urces available to s￿￿ on aFry of the Church s a(twities anN)unts to £62,803.
The Churth strives to remain a fo￿ for in the cc*nmunity in the tem in its own right. It
