Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF QUEENSBURY WARD, BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD (“QUEENSBURY”) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR: (A) MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND (B) OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS.
The CIO was set up exclusively to run a community asset, but the village hall was not transferred to the CIO by Bradford Council.
Financial review:
No transactions took place during this period. The charity had zero income and zero expenditure. The balance sheet and assets are zero.
ON 23RD AUGUST 2024 THE TRUSTEES SUBMITTED AN ONLINE APPLICATION TO THE CHARITY COMMISSION TO REMOVE THIS CHARITY FROM THE REGISTER OF CHARITIES.
THE THREE MONTHS NOTICE PERIOD WAS OBSERVED AND CONFIRMATION RECEIVED FROM THE CHARITY COMMISSION THAT THE CHARITY DISSOLVED ON 19TH DECEMBER 2024 WITH NO FUNDS, DEBTS, ASSETS, LIABILITIES OR LAND INTERESTS.
