Trustees Annual Report
The seven trustees for the year 2024/25 were President Sue, Immediate Past President John, Secretary/1[st] Vice President Nigel, 2[nd] Vice President Hazel, Treasurer Steve, Membership Chairman David and club membership nominee John.
At the end of this term, we thanked John Punchard for his active involvement for the past three years.
We have had regular meetings whereby financial and membership issues are discussed. The trustees thought that the club had the right balance when it came to donations from our charity account. Early in our year we had the unfortunate incident of former member, Andrew Hadley, risking the reputation of the club by misusing our council registration number on his raffle tickets and this event led to his resignation from the club. At our last meeting of the Lions’ year all trustees were supportive of Isabel Baumber becoming a club member.
At the end of our year the trustees decided that newly elected 1[st] year vice presidents will be made a trustee and it will thus give them three years tenure before they finish as IPP. It was also agreed that in the unlikely event of a tied vote on any matter that the current president would have the casting vote.
