Northamptonshire Sport works together with local and national partners to get people in Northamptonshire More Active, More Often. Our focus is on reducing inactivity levels particularly for those people who are least likely to be active and most likely to be affected by health inequalities.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is For The Public Benefit To Promote Community Participation In Healthyrecreation And Sports That Are Capable Of Promoting Physical Health And Fitness For The Benefitof The Inhabitants Of Northamptonshire In Particular By:3.1 Working With And Through Local Agencies To Increase Levels Of Participation In Sportand Physical Activity;3.2 Promoting And Providing Programmes And Services For Sport, Recreation, Physicalactivity, Information Education And Other Leisure Time Occupation For Healthyrecreation;3.3 Promoting And Providing Facilities And Services For Recreational, Sporting Or Otherleisure Time Occupation In The Interests Of The Health And Wellbeing For The Public Atlarge Or Those Who By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Limiting Illness Or Disability, Financialhardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances, Have Need Of Such Facilities Andservices;3.4 The Reduction In Health Inequalities Through Participation In Healthy Recreation;3.5 Promoting And Providing Education, Training And Coaching Courses Which Promotephysical Health, Fitness And Education;3.6 Facilitating And Providing Impact Evaluation, Performance Measurement And Relatedintelligence For Public Benefit In The Context Of Sport, Recreation, Physical Activity Andwider Health And Well-Being.
