invesliqalion into the previous senior pastor. Rev Mike Pilava¢lii arid allegalioi)s ol Mi
Pilavachi's abusive behaviour. In April 2023 the Iruslees sent a Signilicaiil Incideiil Report lo
thè Charity Commission.
On 6 September 2023 the NST concluded their Investigation and staled that "Ths internal

Soul Survivor Walford has a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy which can be found on our
website. Saleguarding reports afe presented to the trustees regularly al the Iruslees meetings.
Safer Recruilmenl processes are in place for volunteers. Including appropnale DBS checks.
Soul Survivor Watfor(5 works closely with Ihe Diocese of St Aloans Safeguarding Team, and has
membership with Thirtyone."eighl and utilises their helpline for saleguarding support. The
Diocese ol Sl Albdns Saleguaidin9 Team is consulled lur advice regardii)g Luiicerns dnd
disclosures. Safeguarding is promotecl on our websilo and Ihroijgh posters throughout the
building.
During the financi81 year, the CIO compleled a full review of all Safeguarding Practices. Policies.
and Safer Re¢ruitmenl pra¢ti¢es which have been implemented. The CIO also appoinled a Full
Time Safeguarding Lead staff member in August 2024 to fuTlher enhance safeguarding across

Suul Survivor Watford has responded lo the General Data Protection Regulation IGDPRI,
Inlroduced In May 2018. and continues lo wnonilor Ihe use of data carefully, particularly
cc)ncerning donor data. Our Prfvacy Policy tovers how we use donor data and gives donors Ihe
option lo opl out ol any contact or make a formal complaint. We carefully monitor the

lo people In Walford and the surrounding areas which was founded In 1992 Soul Survivor
Watford Is part ol the Church of England and became a 'Bishops Mlssion Order within the Sl
Albans Diocese in 2014. renewed In January 2024
The aim of this congregation is not only lo leach the Chrislian lailh and offer opportunities lo
worship, bul also lo demonslrale the gospel through serving the local commuTrily (further details
and activities below).
Alpha courses or similar cour5e5 are run on a regular basis. where people are encouraged lo
come and explore the Christian lailh and to ask any questions they may have. Regular courses
teaching various aspects of the Christian Faith are Tun throughoul the year and are open lo

cale provides a warm welcoming environment with affordable food as well as free lea aiid liltcr
coffee.
Food Boxes.. The CIO provides lood boxes during hall term holidays for people in the
community who are lacing financial pressures. These boxes contain three meals for 6 people
with recipe cards. Each ye.'Ir Ihe5e boxes piovidc ovor 12.000 meals lor families in need in our
local communily.

Friday Night Thing
Our monthly 'f.iiday Night Thing. youth club for schools years 3-6 recommenced during the
year. This Is aimed at those in the church community of Soul Survivor and the lo¢al North
Walford community.
Youth Work
The Youlh work ol Soul S￿￿1V0r has developed and grown under the leadership of the two
youth pastors. In January 2024 we appointed an Assistant Youth Pastoi lo SUPPOfl the gruwing
youth ministry.
Younger Youth lor age 11_13's
Younger Youth meet during the Sunday mornings services, they stay in for the main church
service lor an initial timc of corporate worship then move lo a separate space lor games and
leaching together. Youlh S￿l81S have been run during the year. including laser lag and

Older Youth for age 13-18's
Older Yoiith meet on Tuesday Nights lor socials. worship and leaching. In the summer 012023
