**Activities:** The advancement of science for the public benefit by providing funding to students undertaking studies at The University of Leeds to obtain a doctorate Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry or similar scientific studies.  Also, funding the carrying out of medical research at St James University Hospital Leeds, the useful result of which will be published.
