The purposes of Reach North Wales are:
-
the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith primarily but not exclusively within North Wales and the surrounding area.

have given due regard to this guidance when exercising any relevant powers or duties.
Regular Meetings of the Trustees
Reach North Wales is a partnership of gospel churches and individuals working together to plant new churches and revitalise existing churches across North Wales. In 2019 Reach was a newly formed charity with the following aims during meetings:
-
To identify areas which need new churches;
-
To recognise that gospel partnership in North Wales ought to be regional, as well as local. Our work to start with was divided into two regions North Wales East and North Wales West, and focused on the specific needs within each of them;
-
To help existing churches support planting work in areas identified which are near to them;
-
To lead and establish church plants ourselves;
-
To promote informed praying for the Lord’s work in these situations;
-
To identify gifted and trained gospel workers who are being called by God to plant in North Wales;
-
To connect with supporters who can bring prayer, finances and other help in order to see churches planted;
-
To direct resources to the planters and churches we partner with;
-
Where possible, to partner bilingually, recognising the need to serve communities in North Wales in their respective heartlanguages;
-
To provide training events, conferences, advice and support to those interested and aligned to its objectives and vision;
We were able to meet five times in 2020, twice in person and three times online, following the lockdown.
Reach North Wales exists to help the planting of local churches in North Wales. The churches represented have collectively planted three churches already and our hope with God’s help is to accelerate this in the coming years.
Fundraising
Reach North Wales does not have a formal membership but is an informal group of individuals and churches who support its aims. It

aims to be funded by churches, Christian trusts, and individual donors who wish to assist its aims through financial support.
Section D Achievements and erformance p
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Following the formation of the charity in 2019, the trustees made good progress in moving towards appointing a Director and formulating a church planting vision for North Wales.
A summary of the role is outlined below:
Purpose of the Role:
- To further the work of Church planting in North Wales
Responsibilities of the Role:
-
To be the lead member of RNW’s collective staff team working in collaboration with the Directional Leadership Team made up of Lead Pastors from the Established Reach North Wales Churches.
-
To develop Church planting initiatives across the region and work to promote their smooth operation, leadership development, care in the regions, gospel shaped living and further church planting initiatives.
-
To ensure, along with the DLT, that the Legal, Financial and Governance oversight of the RNW Trustees is respected and implemented as required.
-
To work closely with any other member of RNW’s Collective staff to ensure the operation of RNW is harmonious, efficient and effective.
-
To work in alignment with the RNW Vision statement to secure the ends for which the charity exists.
-
To particularly care for the welfare of Church planting leaders and ensure their close communion together.
Initial activities of the role:
Page 6 of 8
REACH North Wales
Annual Report 2019
-
To develop the Church plant, Grace Church Buckley, towards becoming an established RNW Church
-
To support the Church plant, Grace Church Denbigh, towards becoming an established RNW Church
-
To work towards the objective of establishing the Pantymwyn Village Hall meeting as a new Church plant (Alun Community Church) and thereafter becoming an established RNW Church.
-
To seek how further Church planting initiatives could be encouraged and supported by RNW.
-
To support other RNW Collective Staff to promote the work of RNW for prayer, and financial support.
Unfortunately, due to lockdown, much momentum on this was halted and the Trustees decided it would be best to take stock for the rest of 2020 before proceeding with its vision.
The trustees are aware of areas of performance that need improving and the need to have trustees on the team that are able to devote more time to fundraising and raising awareness of the need for church planting in North Wales.

Section FOther o tional information p
The charity engages with several organisations for help in achieving its aims.
-
The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) for dialogue and shared experience with other likeminded churches across the UK.
-
The charity does not presently have a safeguarding policy as it does not engage in work with children or vulnerable adults. However, considering the nature of our work, it may be wise for a safeguarding policy to be in place in future and we will seek advice about this from Thirtyone:eight, an independent Christian charity which helps individuals, organisations, charities, faith and community groups to protect vulnerable people from abuse.
-
Compliance with General Data Protection Regulations needs to be established with appropriate policies, modification of certain processes, and training/awareness-raising.
Section G Declaration
The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
Signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees.
