Who we are and what we do: 

Phoenix rda are a riding for disabled group who help people with a wide range of disabilities both physical and neurodiverse ride and interact with ponies, the group has a hoist to help those who require added assistance to mount a horse. 

For children or adults who for various health issues can’t ride or lack the confidence we offer none ridden activities grooming and inland work with our ponies of which we have 3 two ridden one none ridden. 

We are lucky to have currently have 15 

Volunteers, 3 coaches in training and 1 trained coach . 

Phoenix has a regular group of individual riders during the week and on Saturdays who benefit from riding in the arena with mounted games and activities. 



The group also support Broadfield Specialist School pupils twice a week Thursday’s for stable management and Friday’s for riding lessons. 

All the pupils aim to gain there level 1 and 2 in horse care and riding. 

Income: 

Our income for the financial year was £20,160 

Our expenditure was £17,180. 

£5000 of this was a government grant for equipment . 

The rest was from riders donations per ride, school and other fundraising events.
